For the record, the novel Firestarter is probably my favorite Stephen King book (only the first half of The Stand even challenges it), and I kind of hated the original Drew Barrymore movie. So YMMV.
I actually really really liked the new Firestarter movie, and I'm surprised it got so raked over the coals by critics. Ryan Kiera Armstrong was great as Charlie but, really, the whole cast was on point and the oppressive, paranoid atmosphere was just what I wanted from the novel.
That being said, everyone seems to agree that John Carpenter's score was the best thing about it and, honestly, it's not like I can argue that. https://youtu.be/u33OuQv2g-c

I'm literally drawing a blank when I try to think of a more facile and pathetic argument from a SCOTUS decision than Alito's "deeply rooted in history" chucklefuckery. Best I've got is the "I know it when I see it" rule for pornography, but that was Congress, not the Court.
It's a profoundly, childishly weak bit of rhetoric, even before considering the evil it's being trotted out to justify. 🙄🤬
@nixnada These are all 7 years old before Jodie and Jo, but I’d love to draw them too. I’ve included a couple of bonus masters, a John Hurt and a Peter Cushing as Grand am off Tarkington :)
I still need to learn how to use Clip Studio, of course, because all I did was this one technique, but all practice is good practice!
To kick off, here are some First Doctors - Hartnell, Cushing, Bradley and, um, Dunn
There was a hole here. It's gone now.
