Just a quick little reportback and how to we wanted to share with you all in case you’ve got some friends and wanna make something like this happen in your own town!
MKE county supervisor & abolitionist Ryan Clancy has introduced two non-reformist reform resolutions and started a book club for county board members to discuss Miriame Kaba's We Do This Till We Free Us with the public.
Yesterday, we managed to track down wisconsin gov. tony evers at a press conference on public transit investment/plans
we reminded him that if he kept his campaign promises (reducing the prison population by 50%, closing MSDF) then he’d have all the money he needs for public transit and whatever other shit the state could be doing to help people not torture and kill them.
Another one from our #ShutEmDown noise demo outside GBCI today.
Right on the other side of this wall is where people are currently being tortured in solitary confinement.
we’ve been told they can hear cars drive by—hopefully they could hear us too!
6pm, not 4pm!
Reach out to old friends who’ve been taken. Find new friends at tinyurl.com/projectprisoner. Attend actions and events, or plan and hold your own. If you see anyone else wearing an orange square, ask them who they know inside. Talk with them about what solidarity means. Conspire with them to end Wisconsin's aparteid, to abolish prisons, and the police who stuff them to overflowing.

If you don't know, come and learn. If you do know, help others see the unseen. Prison is a defining aspect of Wisconsin. People who have been targeted, broken, disappeared, and entombed are an unseen part of every routine. They haunt the background of our daily lives.
Don't turn your back on those who fell behind and those who got taken. Wisconsin's prisons are choking on our friends and neighbors, on Black men from police-targeted communities, on people punished for surviving trauma, economic violence, and political neglect. These dungeons run on forced labor, torture, and racial animosity. Women, queer, and gender non-conforming captives suffer particularly grotesque cruelties in this system.
From Aug 21-Sep 9 wear a square of orange fabric to show your solidarity with Wisconsin's incarcerated. Hear and help tell their stories. Stand with them and fight.
New Post with Audio Version — DOC misleading public about new commissary monopoly by MALIK (incarcerated collaborator).
“…the Wisconsin prison system (DOC), via their mouthpiece John Beard, is spewing lies, half truths & omitting significant information…”
New article written by incarcerated collaborator Tommie Carter:
“Let’s keep this shit 1000%! The truth is, the role of the police is not to serve and protect the people, but to enforce the relations of exploitation and oppression, the conditions of poverty, misery and degradation into which the system has cast people and is determined to keep people in. The law and order the police are really about…enforces all this oppression and madness.”

New Article: Unaccountable sherif refuses to disclose requested data
“If Ted Chisholm and Earnell Lucas believe routinely threatening people with public execution to extract fines and fees from them is an essential, constitutionally mandated part of their mission, they should prove it. They should release the data of how deputies spend their time and validate it. Then the public can have an honest discussion about whether or not we agree.”
