In the USA, a typical person has $60000 of debt by the end of their life. Your overall net wealth is very likely to be a negative number, after living to get into debt and perpetually paying it back. Over an entire human lifetime, most people in the richest country the world has ever known, will effectively own nothing and earn less than nothing.

Huh. Within a couple of days of me joining, I've seen two whole threads about how the fediverse is racist and keeps pretending to be interested in doing something about it, but doing nothing.

It can be a weird to find yourself where people already won't believe you asking "how can I help?", but I've been here before in so many groups, on both sides. My local polyam group has this issue. I get this as queer and disabled. I kinda' hoped here'd be better?

Today I'm annoyed with the trend of laypeople speculating about people they think are acting weird by assuming they are "on the spectrum". Not everyone that acts odd is autistic. You're not qualified or educated enough to make that assumption. There are other neuro-divergences that aren't autism and also some people just act a bit weird without having a diagnosable condition.
